looking back and wondering
Have you ever gone to a movie and say to yourself after saying “I forgot what that movie was about.” I recently conducted a study of movie goers and the results were overwhelming. 20percent of the people that came out of an action movie were amped up. I thought the percent was low. 50 percent were indifferent and the other thirty percent well either left early or didn’t like the experience. Now in comedies 65 percent came out laughing, chucking and talking to others. The rest were indifferent or disliked the movie.
What does this mean? The trends in modern day movies have changed. And guess what they will change again and again and again. In the late 80’s the fad was teenage comedies(Breakfast Club and Sixteen Candles), the 90’s were action films (Die Hard and Speed) at the turn of the millenium it was all about animation. Today I noticed that the comedy is making a comeback. People want to laugh even when time are bad. Can we forget about are problems for two hours and watch a funny movie. If everyone did that we would all be less stressed out and if we are less stressed we can turn around our problems and strive to be better not only as individuals, not only as americans, but as a whole human race.
Well anyways enough of my deep thoughts go out to movie or a video store or ppv/cable find a movie and zen. til next time
