1776 Was a Movie made in 1972 to depict the days leading up to the historical day where the United States declared there independence from Britan. In the movie John Adams who is played by William Daniels (Mr. FEENY from Boy Meets World) is a member of the first contental congress. Him along with notable historic figures such as Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, and John Hancock are portrayed quite well in this classic story. The New Englanders were getting hit by Englands taxes and unfair laws so they started a movement to break away from England. They needed all of the Thireteen Colonies to agree and it took them a while to persuade everyone. John Adams was percived as an arrogant ass, While Ben Franklin portrayed as a wise old man. I remember watching this movie for the first time in elementry school fifth grade in Mr. Reillys class. I was intrigued then and when I saw it on AMC last night I knew what my topic today was gonna be. The way the colonies felt about alll the unfair treatment they were getting from the british is a lot like tribes and groups in the middle east feel today. They wanna establish thier own way of life and feel free to belive what they want and to be proud of themselves. The story of 1776 will forever live on in textbooks and on sites like wikepedia. but everyday there is a new story like that ready to make the headlines til next time

Most of the people that read this blog expect me to talk about outlandish movie characters and stupid movies that we like. As I have come to relize there are so many I could go on and on. However today I am going to talk to you guys about me. I’m about to turn 25 and feeling a bit down so I turned o my favorite movie of all time. That’s Right Office Space and it made me relize that the world is an awesome place and even if you have a job you hate someday things are gonna turn around. Yesterday I felt exactly like Peter Gibbons. Annoyed by everyone and I just wanted to do nothing. I love my life sometimes and I guess that you just have to try to love it more than you hate it. So anyways being heavyset and not liking the fact that I am I am gonna try my best to get on the Biggest Loser. I am currently enlisting my friends on facebook to help. Hopefully my readers and other users from Today.com will help to get the word out and Get me on that show. Well anyways I’ll have a better post tommorow something stupid and funny. AND I PROMISE YOU NO CARROT TOP.

These days musical soundtracks and scores have a lot to do with a success of a movie. Over the past couple of years the kids all over the world have been into High School Musical and Hannah Montanna. Now these hits are responsible for revenues from both on screen and in music. The invention of the I Pod and I tunes have really created a lot of success for the genre. Back when I was growing up in the mid 90’s we had movies like Airheads starring Brenda Fraser, Steve Buscemi, and Adam Sandler. The movie is about a failed band who takes a radio station hostage in order to be heard. Another movie that had a lot of music in it was Wayne’s World starring Mike Myers and Dana Carvey. Two young men who live in Aurora Illinois who host thier own cable access show and thier life. In the movie Wayne (Myers) falls in love with the lead singer of Crucial Taunt (Tia Carrera) at a local show. The movie surronds the take off of both Wayne’s tv show and Cassandra’s band. And of course who can forget Alice Cooper “WERE NOT WORTHY WERE NOT WORTHY” Also the sequal Wayne and Garth put on Waynestock a collection of hard rock bands as it was Jim Morrison who comes to Wayne in a dream and told him it was his destiny. Bands in the movie include Aerosmith, Pearl Jam, Van Halen and the Gin Blossoms. Movies and music will always go hand in hand Look at musicals of yesteryear like Annie Hall, The Music Man, Marry Poppins, and my favorite musical of all time Guys and Dolls for anyone who has not seen it get off your duff and get it now. Fran Sinatra plays Nathan Detroit a gambler from the streets of NY who is in charge of seting up a traveling game of craps. Along the way he meets Sky Masterson played by a young Marlon Brando and he is trying to bust Nathan and take his roll. The movie is great and every time I see it live it’s amazing and I must say big ups to Oyster Bay High School class of 2002. They did a wonderful job. I know I’m gonna forget some names but here goes, John Cipriano, Ethan Schrott, Sarah Defillipe, Brigid Mason, Jamie Williams, Tim Blair, Dustin Abbatte and others great job in thier senior year production. Check out the clip

Over the Top with Sylvester Stallone. It is a great movie about a truck driver named Lincoln Hawk who is forced to take care of his son after his ex is in the hospital dying. The movie is one of those cheesy 80’s Sly action flicks but it is really good. He goes into a professional arm wrestling tournament to try to win a new truck to start up his own trucking business. Along the way him and his son learn from each other that they are in it together and whatever problems they had were in the past and to look foward to a good future. And honestly thats the point that I am at i life so It was good to see that movie and I love Robert Loggia he is one of my favorite actors welll anyways til next time See ya later
Oh yeah and wrestler Terry Funk is in the movie

This movie is an awesome action packed thriller. The movie centers around a cop Brian O’ Connor (Paul Walker) who goes undercover as a street race in hopes to bring down the culprits of multiple truck heists. Along the way he races with Dom Turretto (Vin Diesel) and after a hard race the two become reluctant friends especially after Brian saves Dom from going to jail. With Brian now on the inside he finds out that Dom and his crew are behind it. With stars such as Michelle Rodriguez, Jordanna Brewster, Ja Rule, Thom Berry, and Ted Levine The original was such a success that they made a sequal with Bryan heading down to Miami after a series of unfortunate events prevent him from being a cop. After persuadin an old friend which whom he busted to help him go under cover they find themselves inside a Miami drug cartel. The third movie in the series followed a young kid who goes to Japan to learn how to drift race. Now coming out in a couple of weeks is the new movie. Sounds good, looks good. Hopefully get to see it
Til next time Later
