Actor Spotlight-JEAN CLAUDE VAN DAMME
Jean Claude Van Damme is one of the biggest action stars in the world. He has made many successfull movies and is known as THE MUSSELLS FROM BRUSSELS. He was born in Belguim and has been trained and once fought in martial arts. His Kickboxing record was 18-1. He has been married and divorced 4 times and has three children. Some of his movies include Universal Solidier, Kickboxer, Bloodsport, Street Fighter, Sudden Death, Double Team, Timecop, The Replicant, The Order, and In Hell. He does not speak very well english. He recently had an apperance on the Big O and Dukes Radio show which you can hear on 1067 FM Washington DC and WJFK.COM. When Chad Dukes asked him questions because he was a big fan he didn’t answer and the call was horrible reception so they hung up on him. Jean Claude Van Damme is a great action star and will be remembered in Cinema for his on screen accomplishments. He even played a backup goalie for the Pittsburgh Penguins in Sudden Death
My favorite role of his was when he played Col. Willam Guile in Street Fighter. That role was a good fit even though Guile was supposed to be 100% american and he talks with a belgian accent. He has a great fight scene with the late Raul Julia who played General Bison. The movie is good. The one person who is an expert on all things Van Damme is my high school friend Chris. He celebrated his entire calendar.
