Ron Burgundy played by Will Ferrell is a dynamic character. He is a bachelor who loves to party, women, and most of all his news desk. With his channel 4 team they rule the evening news in San Diego. He is now finding himself to be a dime a dozen when the network goes to dual anchor when Veronica Corningstone comes to the desk. Now that she is standing out and giving the station record ratings. He is a charismatic, cocky, and full of himself. The cast of this movie is mind blowing. Stars like Ben Stiller, Jack Black, Vince Vaughn, Luke Wilson, Fred Willard, Steve Carrell, Judd Apatow, Seth Rogen, Tim Robbins, Jerry Stiller, and Christina Applegate. The movie has a lot of Zingers. Jokes and one-liners up the wazoo. like this one

Without a doubt Anchorman The Legend of Ron Burgundy is one of the greatest comedies ever made. This movie is a movie you can watch and laugh. This movie is definitely a stupid funny movie. TIL NEXT TIME

Ben Stiller will be a regular on this site. His outlandish style of humor strikes humor through many people. In Dodgeball he plays White Goodman who owns the GLOBO GYM franchise. He wants to destroy his competition Average Joe’s gym. Globo gym has all of the high tech amenities as well as off the wall training regimens. When Average Joe’s is about to be foreclosed, they enter a dodgeball competition to save thier gym.  When White hears abot it he forms his own team to play in the event. Their are way to many zings to put into a small blog like this. This movie is a laughfest. Ben Stiller is hilarious. Will Globo Gym dominate and put Average Joe’s out of business. Well I’m sure you know the answer it’s a Stupid Funny Movie. Here is a clip.

Ned Ryerson is a charactor in the movie Groundhog day starring Bill Murray. Phil Connors (Murray) is a local weather forecaster who is sent to Punxatawni Pa for Groundhog day. During the movie Phil relizes that he is reliving the same day over and over again. Among all the people he runs into on Groundhog day is Ned Ryerson. Ned went to school with Phil and was going to date his sister until Phil told him not to. He is in the business of selling life insurance. His nickname were Ned the head and Needlenose Ned. He did a trick for the high school talent show. Ned Ryerson is an annoying person and is a pushy little jerk. Ned is punched out by Phil one day and was Phils best friend the next. Ned is Stupid Funny.

Ned Ryerson is an awesome charactor and is definatly a Stupid Funny Movie Charactor. Til next time

AH and we come to Ace Ventura one of the stupidest, funniest characters of all time. His slapstick style of humor and ridiculous habits make him unique. Jim Carrey was a young actor fresh off of In Living Color and his career seemingly ready to jump start, takes this character and makes him into a household name. Made in 1994 the movie centered around Ace who is a pet detective. He is sent out to find animals and return them to their rightful owners. He is on a quest to find a rare bird that’s worth a lot of money when the Miami Dolphins hire him to find out what happened to their dolphin Snowflake. From the mid 90’s on this movie has had kids talking out of their butt and saying things like Alrighty Then.  This guy is an ICON. Two movies later Ace Ventura lives on in the heart and soul of all the kids who want to be funny.

You can certainly make a case for Ace Ventura being one of the best characters of all time. Well at least according to my criteria. This is Jim Carrey’s best work and I hope he returns to form and makes another Ace Ventura movie. Til Next time

Shooter Mcgavin from the movie Happy Gilmore is a cool bad guy. He is the best golfer not to win the Major title on the PGA tour. Shooter is cocky and arrogant and when Happy Gilmore steals his thunder he gets upset. He hires a guy to heckle Happy and Shooter tries to provoke Happy so he will get kicked off the tour. Shooter Mcgavin is one of those characters who you love to hate. He does his little pistol shoot after draining a putt. What else to say about Shooter he is an avid real estate investor when he learns that Happy’s grandmothers house is up for auction. My favorite shooter mcgavin quote is “DAMN YOU PEOPLE GO BACK TO YOUR SHANTIES” You hate You Love him here is a clip that will make you laugh.

Merry Christmas everyone. I hope all is well with everyone. Today to get into the spirit of the holidays, I will be giving you Willie (Billy Bob Thorton) from Bad Santa. In the movie Willie and his partner in crime Marcus (Tony Cox) have jobs in a mall as Santa clause and his little elf helper. They setup a scheme to rob stores in the mall after close. This movie I will not summarize because you have to see it. This movie is crude and they have the unrated version which is extremely crude. Willie is a drunk who likes to have his way with women. There are scenes in the movie that show him banging a girl in a dressing room. A highlight of the movie is two actors that are sadly no longer with us John Ritter and Bernie Mac. They play two men who want to take down Willie and Marcus before they hit their mall.

One of Will Ferrell best charecters is Ricky Bobby. Talledega Nights is a movie about a man who lives and breathes stock car racing. Rick and his pal Cal are part of a pit crew on the NASCAR circut. After an uninspiring effort from their driver, Ricky Bobby steps into the car and makes a huge splash on the circut. After that he becomes the new driver and is the most exciting driver on the circut. Ricky and his wife have two sons named Walker and Texas Ranger. Ricky is known on the track for wanting to win. His motto is “If you’re not first you’re last.” After an incident with a french formula deux racer Jean Girard (Sascha Baron Cohen), Ricky recklass nature leads him into a big wreck and changes his life. Not stable to handle the wreck Ricky’s life is spinning out of control. If you have not seen this movie, get up off your ass and rent it. Among the videos and pictures.

That quote is one of the most famous lines from any Kevin Smith movie. Kevin Smith the writer/director who has produced cult classic films such as Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, and Clerks II, has created Dante Hicks. Dante lives in New Jersey and is in his mid 20’s still lives at home and is a typical 90’s slacker. He works at the QuickStop convenience store and is a push over. That famous quote above says it all. He comes in on his days off and picks up others slack. During this particular day someone has jammed gum in the locks so he can’t open the shutters. His newspaper were stolen a customer starts a mob in the store about how dangerous cigarettes are. He also has to deal with his slacker friend Randall who works next store at the video store. Randall shows up late and insults all the customers. Later on Dante finds out that the boss who was supposed to relive him at noon went to Vermont and he has to man the store until close. He gets the balls to close the store to play his scheduled hockey game that is played on top of the roof as well as close the store to go to an ex girlfriends funeral. This long day ends even worse then when it started when his ex girlfriend whom he is still in love with has sex with a dead man in the bathroom of the Quickstop. This movie has to be one of the most stupidest funniest movies. I love Dante’s character because I can relate to it. Whenever I was at work I was always the one picking up shifts and filling in. Oh how I would’ve love to close the store and play some puck.

 After such a long day, Dante is done with his day at work and finally gets to go home. However tommorow is just another day and work is waiting for him. Just a quick side not Clerks II Dante and Randall go to work at Mooby’s a fast food restaurant after Randall inadvertinly burns down the quick stop. Dante is moving to Florida with his fiancee and Randall (Jeff Anderson) and Becky (Rosario Dawson) are trying to make Dante realize that his life will be better off in New Jersey than in Florida. The first movie made in 1994 is a classic and it’s in black and white however it doesn’t disappoint. Clerks II was made in 2006 and is still a great movie but personally I prefer the original.  Jim Carrey stars in the Cable Guy where he plays a man with no personal identity. He identifies himself as television character. He believes his name is Chip Douglas. He goes to a routine installation at Steven Kovak (Matthew Broderick) new apartment. Steven was kicked out of his old place by his ex girlfriend. While setting up the cable, Chip tries to befriend Steven by giving him free cable. Steven then finds himself watched 24/7 by the Cable Guy. Chip tries to force himself into Steven’s life. He intrudes during a basketball game, invites his family for password, in his cubicle at work and even at Midevil Times.

Chip Douglas is a classic character because he is just STUPID FUNNY.  Til next time

Office Space is one of the greatest I hate work movies of all time. The movie chronicles the day in the life of the office worker. Peter Gibbons (Ron Livingston) is a software updater whom updates bank software for the year 2000 switch. His  friends Michael Bolton and Samir Nainnaja work at Initech. One of their 8 different bosses Bill Lumburg is the swinging dick of the office. Fancy car cocky attitude and his famous tag-line ” UMM YEA” Peter is the main character he lives a life of monotony and is sick of daily everyday life. He goes to Chotchkies a restaurant and is obsessed with the waitress Joanna (Jennifer Anniston). He goes to a occupational hypnotherapist and gets zoned out, before they bring him back the doctor keels over and is stuck in this state of total relaxation. His mood and attitude changes carefree. Peter does no work now and gets promoted while Michael and Samir are getting the boot. He decides to try to scam the company out of money and things go way wrong. His friends are pissed off at him, his girlfriend hates the person he’s becoming and his next door neighbor wants nothing to do with him. 

This film is a cult classic. It did horrible in the box office and has gained it’s status in society thru video sales. I definitely recommend this movie to everyone. Til next time See ya.
